The Differences between Abstract Language and Concrete Language - Case Study Example For example, Wordsworth utilized in his work ââ¬ËOh! raise us up, come back to us once more; And give us habits, ideals, opportunity, powerââ¬â¢ which implied arguing to John Milton in the expectation of reestablishing characteristics and qualities rather than material riches. Literary Device Essay
Bianca Lynch Literary gadget article In the novel At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks He utilizes temperament to assist you with understanding the fundamental character, this likewise causes you to sympathize with his issues and relate to how they may feel. Another scholarly gadget he uses to assist you with interfacing with the novel is symbolism; he paints an explained image of the town Jeremy Marsh currently lives in with his new spouse Lexi. The Author portrays Boone Creek, a humble community in NC Jeremy Marsh has as of late moved to for his life partner Lexi Darnell, as a little nation hick town that anybody originating from NYC would be embarrassed to call home. As Jeremy begins to feel progressively comfortable, His point of view of the town is changed. It changes from being a hick town to some place invigorating where he could see himself settling down with Lexi and their Daughter to come he communicates this right off the bat in ch. Four of the novel, ââ¬Å"The a month ago in Boone river, exhausting as it had been, was actuallyâ⬠¦refreshingâ⬠(Jeremy pg 52). Indeed he gets so used to the town that when he returned home to NY for his unhitched male gathering he felt strange, as though something just didnââ¬â¢t fit. His siblings and closest companion Alvin condemned his garments, the ââ¬Å"lumberjackâ⬠shirt Lexi got him. Despite the fact that Jeremy consistently considered himself a to some degree ââ¬Å"stylishâ⬠man and in the event that he was all the while living in NY would have never been found in those garments by wearing it caused him to feel by one way or another associated with Lexi and his new home Boone Creek. As I read this novel I imagined a neat and tidy New Yorker moving so a little nation town and getting lost in all the humble community tattle and new nation ways. â⬠Theyââ¬â¢ll talk behind our backs, theyââ¬â¢ll tattle, and itââ¬â¢ll set aside people along effort to overlook that we ââ¬Ëlived in sinââ¬â¢Ã¢â¬ (Lexi pg. 4) Lexi disclosed to Jeremy when attempting to disclose to him why they couldnââ¬â¢t live respectively before getting hitched. What Jeremy couldn't get familiar with was the consistent tattle about different peopleââ¬â¢s lives, in spite of the fact that this went on in the city it wasnââ¬â¢t as terrible in light of the fact that ne w Yorkers donââ¬â¢t have enough time in the day to simply lounge around and talk about different peopleââ¬â¢s lives. Another abstract gadget Nicholas Sparks used to assimilate the perusers consideration is state of mind. All through the entire first 50% of the novel I was left in anticipation s to how Jeremy and Lexis relationship would turn out. In the initial four sections the writer attempts to get the peruser to imagine that there might be an unfaithfulness going on among Lexi and Jeremy on Lexiââ¬â¢s part. Jeremy goes to Lexis work mid one day to shock her and she wasnââ¬â¢t there and didn't make reference to getting off right on time to him already. At the point when he went to search for her he discovered her on the seat that disregarded the stream with Rodney, her youth love,â⬠until , that is they moved on the seat, and he at that point acknowledged they were clasping hands. (Jeremy pg. 73), this alongside numerous other unexplained vanishings by Lexi promp ts the anticipation in the novel. As I read the end when lexi passes on after work it sets me feeling dismal. With Jeremy grieving his wifeââ¬â¢s demise and the idea of their infant young lady not having a mother in her life, he will not go see his little girl; in truth he said he never needed to see her. Since Lexi passed on during Claries birth Jeremy feels ill will towards her, when inquired as to whether he saw her yet he said no. ââ¬Å"Jeremy dismissed. He didnââ¬â¢t need to heart that, didnââ¬â¢t need to hear anything about the babyâ⬠¦would he ever be cheerful again? â⬠(Jeremy pg 258) Doris, Lexiââ¬â¢s grandma at last persuades him to go see her, ââ¬Å"And in that case, while gazing at his little girl through a thousand tears, he experienced passionate feelings for and needed simply to hold Claire for eternity. â⬠(Narrator pg 263). Jeremy figures out how to acknowledge Lexis passing and acknowledge the blessing she deserted, Claire. Despite the fact that the novel hops from anticipation to love to upsetting occasions Nicholas Sparks despite everything figures out how to expend the perusers consideration by utilizing mind-set and imajery.

The autonomic system is the part of the peripheral nervous system that is responsible for regulating involuntary body functions, such as heartbeat, blood flow, breathing, and digestion. The Structure of the Autonomic Nervous System This system is further divided into three branches: the sympathetic system, the parasympathetic system, and the enteric nervous system.?? The sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system regulates the flight-or-fight responses. This division also performs such tasks as relaxing the bladder, speeding up heart rate, and dilating eye pupils. The parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system helps maintain normal body functions and conserves physical resources. This division also performs such tasks as controlling the bladder, slowing down heart rate, and constricting eye pupils. The autonomic nervous system is also made up of a third component known as the enteric nervous system, which is confined to the gastrointestinal tract. The autonomic nervous system operates by receiving information from the environment and from other parts of the body. The sympathetic and parasympathetic systems tend to have opposing actions in which one system will stimulate a response where the other will inhibit it. Traditionally, stimulation has been thought to take place through the sympathetic system while inhibition was thought to occur via the parasympathetic system. However many exceptions to this have been found. Today the sympathetic system is viewed as a quickly responding system that mobilizes the body for action where the parasympathetic system is believed to act much more slowly to dampen responses. For example, the sympathetic nervous system will act to raise blood pressure while the parasympathetic nervous system will act to lower it. The two systems work in conjunction to manage the bodyâs responses depending upon the situation and need.?? If, for example, you are facing a threat and need to flee, the sympathetic system will quickly mobilize your body to take action. Once the threat has passed, the parasympathetic system will then start to dampen these responses, slowly returning your body to its normal, resting state. What Does the Autonomic Nervous System Do? The autonomic system controls a variety of internal processes including:?? DigestionBlood pressureHeart rateUrination and defecationPupillary responseBreathing (respiratory) rateSexual responseBody temperatureMetabolismElectrolyte balanceProduction of body fluids including sweat and salivaEmotional responses The autonomic nerve pathways connect different organs to the brain stem or spinal cord. There are also two key neurotransmitters, or chemical messengers, that are important for communication within the autonomic nervous system: Acetylcholine is often used in the parasympathetic system to have an inhibiting effect.Norepinephrine often works within the sympathetic system to have a stimulating effect on the body. How the Autonomic Nervous System Works Problems With the Autonomic Nervous System When the parasympathetic and sympathetic components of the autonomic nervous systems become out of sync, people can experience an autonomic disorder, also called dysautonomia. There are numerous types of autonomic disorders, each with its own unique set of symptoms, including:?? Acute autonomic paralysisAfferent baroreflex failureIdiopathic orthostatic hypotensionMultiple system atrophyOrthostatic hypotensionPostprandial hypotensionPure autonomic failureFamilial dysautonomia (Riley-Day syndrome)Secondary orthostatic hypotension Understanding Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction These disorders can occur alone, or as a result of other conditions that cause disruption in the autonomic nervous system, including: Autoimmune diseaseAlcohol or drug abuseDiabetesParkinsons diseaseCancerChronic fatigue syndromePeripheral neuropathyAgingSpinal cord disordersTrauma Discover How Doctors Diagnose and Treat Dysautonomia Symptoms If you or someone you love is experiencing disruptions in the autonomic nervous system, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms. Some people experience one cluster of symptoms at one time, and another set of symptoms at other times. The symptoms can be fleeting and unpredictable or triggered by specific situations or actions, like after ingesting certain foods or after standing up quickly.?? Dizziness or light-headedness upon standingFatigue and inertiaErectile dysfunctionLack of sweat or profuse sweatingUrinary incontinenceDifficulty emptying the bladderLack of pupillary responseDisturbing aches and painsFaintness (or even actual fainting spells)Tachycardia (fast heart rate)Hypotension (low blood pressure)Gastrointestinal symptomsNumbness and tinglingSevere anxiety or depression Understanding Autonomic Nervous System Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment Diagnosis of an autonomic disorder requires a doctors evaluation, which may include a physical examination, recording blood pressure when the patient is both lying down and standing, testing of the sweat response, and an electrocardiogram. Diagnosing an autonomic disorder is often tricky since both the physical exam and laboratory tests can come back normal. If you suspect that you might have some type of autonomic disorder, its important to find a healthcare provider who doesnt dismiss your symptoms as all in your head, and who is willing to take the prolonged trial-and-error to diagnose and treat your condition. There is currently no cure, however depending on the type of autonomic disorder, there are ways to treat the symptoms. Discover How Doctors Diagnose and Treat Dysautonomia A Word From Verywell The autonomic nervous system plays an important role in the human body, controlling many of the bodys automatic processes. This system also helps prepare the body to cope with stress and threats, as well as returning the body to a resting state afterward. Learning more about this part of the nervous system can give you a better understanding of the processes that underlie many human behaviors and responses.

Marriage In Chaucers The Canterbury Tales - 1709 Words
In Geoffrey Chaucerââ¬â¢s The Canterbury Tales, a group of traveling pilgrims on their way from London to Canterbury pass the time by telling each other stories and tales. A handful of the tales are on the topic of marriage, most notably The Millerââ¬â¢s Tale, The Wife of Bathââ¬â¢s Tale and The Merchantââ¬â¢s Tale. The Miller talks about his wife and marriage poorly in his prologue and his tale is just as cynical. The Wife of Bath reveals in her prologue that she has had five husbands, something that was frowned upon then just as it still is in todayââ¬â¢s society. In her tale, the story sees the main character change his view on his own marriage from a negative thing to something he cherishes. Finally, The Merchantââ¬â¢s prologue reveals that he, too, has aâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦However, The Miller says that there was quite an age difference between John and Alisoun, his wife, and that John ââ¬Å"heeld hire narwe in cageâ⬠, meaning that he held her i n confinement (Chaucer 267). Husbands having this type of control over their wives was not unique to this time period seeing as it was the norm for many years to come. One part of the story describes what Alisoun is wearing and how she looks. This section goes on for lines and lines and implies that women are only good for their appearance. He also says that Alisoun is ââ¬Å"gent and smalâ⬠, which can be translated to slender and delicate while also revealing that she is merely eighteen years old (Chaucer 267). As the story goes on, Nicholas is introduced. He professes his love for her and begs her to return the emotion. She declines and he reacts negatively, to which Alisoun immediately changes her mind and returns his love. She says that they can be together if they wait patiently and are secretive (Chaucer 268). Planning to cheat on oneââ¬â¢s husband is not something that would be viewed positively in that time and this shows that Alisoun, in a way, did not conform to th e way that women were expected to act in marriages at the time. Even though cheating has never been held to a high standard during any time period, having a female character want to act unfaithfully to her husband can be seen as a good thing in terms of female empowerment in The Millerââ¬â¢s Tale. Who Killed President John F. Kennedy Free Essays
Despite the plethora of conspiracies surrounding the death of President Kennedy there is overwhelming evidence supporting the theory that a single gunman, Lee Harvey Oswald, killed President Kennedy. History tends to repeat its self time and time again. In this scenario it is the assassination of a President: first President Lincoln; then Garfield, McKinley, and lastly the most controversial of them all, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. We will write a custom essay sample on Who Killed President John F. Kennedy or any similar topic only for you Order Now The details surrounding his death have been studied and questioned for decades and will be for decades more to come. One of the most controversial details in the J. F. K assassination was; how many men gunned down the President on one of the most historical days in this Countryââ¬â¢s history. Despite all of the controversy surrounding the death of the President, the clearest and most rational answer for who shot and killed the President is Lee Harvey Oswald. On the afternoon of November 22, 1963 fear struck the Nation when President Kennedy was shot and killed while riding in his motorcade through Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas. Allegedly the shots that were fired came from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository and were shot by the infamous Lee Harvey Oswald. The first shot hit Kennedy in the back, and went through his throat. The same bullet then hit Governor Connelly in the back after shattering a rib and, hit him in the wrist and then in his thigh. The second shot was the fatal shot to the right side of Kennedyââ¬â¢s head which then went on to injure a bystander. Lastly the third and final shot hit the curb as the Presidentââ¬â¢s limousine raced off to get away from the danger. During Oswaldââ¬â¢s failed attempt to flea from authorities officer J. D. Tippit was shot to death shortly after the President was killed: Oswald denied both killings. Two days after the death of the President as millions of Americans watched Jack Ruby, a Dallas nightclub owner, pushed his way through police officers and shot the alleged assassin. Ruby was convicted for the murder of Oswald. Yet three years later the conviction was over-ruled due in fact that the judge allowed in illegal testimony. Ruby died of cancer before the second trial could be held. Why was Kennedy assassinated, and by who? Neither of those questions will ever be answered yet Kennedy was greatly disliked in the Soviet Union during the Cold War and in Cuba greatly for the Cuban Missile Crisis on October 8, 1962-roughly a year before the Presidents tragic death. Either country could have hired Oswald to assassinate the President but likely if this was the case the Soviet Union would be more likely to have had a part in Kennedyââ¬â¢s assassination due in part to the fact that Oswald left the U. S. to gain citizenship with the Soviet Union but was turned down. On the other hand Cuba could have hired the ââ¬Å"lone assassinâ⬠to assassinate the President over the Cuban missile crisis, when President Kennedy had Cuba dismantle the missile system that the Soviet Union had placed there which was in fact pointed at the United States as well as having two missiles in Turkey, Thor and Jupiter. One of the biggest reasons there are so many conspiracies out there is because of the second bullet that was fired at the President, which was called the ââ¬Å"magic bulletâ⬠it was said to have done numerous things. It apparently went through Kennedyââ¬â¢s upper back and out his neck, then took a sharp right turn to go through Connallyââ¬â¢s back shattered a rib and came out his chest. After that, the bullet went through Connallyââ¬â¢s wrist and then fell to lodge into Connallyââ¬â¢s right upper thigh. Yet according to the Warren Report that was written by the Warren commission in September of 1964 the bullet never made any zigzag or funky turn. Connally was seated in a booster seat in front of the President which is not level with the Presidentââ¬â¢s seat, it is three inches lower than Kennedyââ¬â¢s seat. Also the booster seat is six inches farther towards the middle of the car. Lastly Governor Connally was not sitting straightforward in his seat. He is turned to his right, as seen in the Zapruder Film. Therefore the bullets path would make perfect sense a straight line through both men. In conclusion there is overwhelming evidence that Lee Harvey Oswald was the assassin that took the life of one of our countriesââ¬â¢ most profound leaders, President John F. Kennedy, and acted alone. The reasoning for Oswaldââ¬â¢s actions may never be uncovered: was he hired to get a point across; for payback, or did he act alone? The answers to these questions have been washed away into the history textbooks of our children and their children to come. May no one ever truly know the meaning behind the assassination of President Kennedy or who really took the life of President, but as the most backed up and legitimate answer is Lee Harvey Oswald. What Is Conflict Essay Example
What Is Conflict Essay What is Conflict? The simple meaning of conflict is basically a disagreement through which the person or people involved recognize a threat to their needs, interests or concerns. With how things are now in modern life conflicts are inevitable. Anyone can get into a conflict. Sometimes little arguments lead to an intense conflict. Also, sometimes people overcome their conflicts quickly. I believe that some conflicts can be easily resolved because it teaches people how to deal with situations like that, and leads people to think about the conflicts. It means that people learn from their mistakes. Also, if the person has enough experience about dealing with conflicts, he or she will be able to resolve it easily. For example if someone was speaking aloud and was interrupted instead of straight away starting an argument they could remind the person to respect other people when speaking. We can understand from this that because of his or her knowledge in dealing with conflicts, she was able to solve it quickly before it increase into serious fight. How we respond to conflict is in two ways, we have emotional responses which are the feelings we experience in conflict, reaching from anger and fear to depression and confusion. We will write a custom essay sample on What Is Conflict specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now We will write a custom essay sample on What Is Conflict specifically for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Hire Writer We will write a custom essay sample on What Is Conflict specifically for you FOR ONLY $16.38 $13.9/page Hire Writer Emotional responses are often misunderstood, as people tend to believe that others feel the same as they do. Therefore, differing emotional responses are confusing and, at times, threatening. We also have physical responses to conflict which play an important role in our ability to meet our needs in the conflict. They include high stress levels, body tension, and increased sweat, shallow or accelerated breathing, and rapid heartbeat. These responses are similar to those we experience in high-anxiety situations, and they may be managed through stress management techniques used by many people. Establishing a calmer environment in which emotions can be managed is more likely if the physical response is addressed effectively. These are important factors into our experience during conflict, because they often tell us more about what is the true source of threat that we notice; by understanding our thoughts, feelings and physical responses to conflict, we may get better insights into the best potential solutions to the situation. One key point to understanding conflicts is seeing that each person may have a different view onto any given situation. This could also be called the role of Perception. Some of these views would be one of which, gender and sexuality. Men and women often observe situations rather differently, based on both their experiences in the world. As a result, men and women will often approach conflictive situations with differing mind-sets about the desired outcomes from the situation, as well as the set of possible solutions that may exist. Another would be Knowledge (general and situational). People respond to given conflicts on the basis of the knowledge they may have about the issue at hand. This includes specific knowledge about the situation (i. e. , Do I understand what is going on here? ) and general knowledge (i. e. , Have I experienced this type of situation before? ). Such information can influence the persons willingness to engage in efforts to manage the conflict, either reinforcing confidence to deal with the dilemma or deflating the personââ¬â¢s willingness to openly consider alternatives. This can decide the confidence of a person when they going into a conflict. Although it is usually best to have a minimal amount of conflicts it is useful in some place such as in organisations. In fact, conflict can be good for organizations because it encourages open-mindedness and helps avoid the trend toward group think that many organizations fall prey to. The key is learning how to manage conflict effectively so that it can serve as a catalyst, rather than a burden, to organizational improvement. Although it is often assumed that people avoid conflict, many people actually enjoy conflict to a certain degree because it can be the motivation for new thinking. Considering a different point of view which represents conflict can open up new possibilities and help to generate new ideas that might otherwise have not been considered. It is like when you are in a race you will run faster when your second rather than first because you have that person in front of you pushing you to go faster. My final point about conflict is the reason why most people tend to avoid getting into conflict. Engaging in discussion and negotiation around conflict is something we normally approach with fear and hesitation, afraid that the conversation will go worse than the conflict has gone so far. In my opinion our responses, as said earlier, are likely to to include behaviours, feelings, thoughts and physical responses. If any of these responses shows tress factors that make us reluctant to talk things out, we are more inclined to follow the pathway of avoidance, basically because where scared. In addition, consider that our society tends to reward alternative responses to conflict, rather than negotiation, people who aggressively pursue their needs, arguing rather than co-operating with a situation, are often satisfied by others who prefer to put up with this. Managers and leaders are often rewarded for their aggressive, controlling approaches to problems, rather than taking a more compassionate approach to issues that may seem less decisive to the public or their staffs. I find this to be unfair but it is my opinion on it. To conclude I believe that Conflict can be easily initiated but also easily resolved if handled in the right way or if he or she has experience. There are different responses to conflict which can lead to different outcomes of the conflict. Different people have different view on situations causing controversy between them. There can be use of conflict in organisations by making it beneficial to the person or company. Finally how I believe society sees conflict and why it is normally avoided which in my opinion it should be.

The people in the organisation have the capacity to learn but the structures in which they operate are often not conducive to engagement and reflection. Moreover, due to lack of tools and guiding ideas in the organisation it leads to unclear image of the situation in which the people works. There is a fundamental requirement in the organisations to shift mind amongst their members for continual expanding of their capacity to create their future. When you ask people about what it is like being part of a great team, what is most striking is the meaningfulness of the experience. People talk about being part of something larger than them, of being connected, of being generative. It becomes quite clear that, for many, their experiences as part of truly great teams stand out as singular periods of life lived to the fullest. Some spend the rest of their lives looking for ways to recapture that spirit. (Senge 1990: 13) .The various aspects that differentiate learning organisations from those traditional organisations lies in Peter Sengeââ¬â¢s Five Discipline . They are: 1) Systems thinking 2) Personal mastery 3) Mental models 4) Building shared vision 5) Team learning Peter Senge (1990:14) says that people are agents to the structure in which they operate and they are a part of the structure. The disciplines are in this way that ità ââ¬Ëconcerned with a shift of mind from seeing parts to seeing wholes, from seeing people as helpless reactors to seeing them as active participants in shaping their reality, from reacting to the present to creating the futureââ¬â¢ (Senge 1990: 69). It is to the disciplines that we will now turn. (http:// www.infed.org/index.htm) 1) à System Thinking- the cornerstone of the learning organization: System thinking is the Fifth Discipline amongst the Five Disciplines of Peter Senge. Systemic thinking is the conceptual cornerstone (ââ¬ËThe Fifth Disciplineââ¬â¢) of his approach. It is the discipline that integrates the others, fusing them into a coherent body of theory and practice (ibid: 12).à The basic tools of the system theory can build into sophisticated models as they are fairly straightforward. Peter Senge states that one of the major obstacles is that what is written and what is done in the name of the management. It means that a simplified framework is used in a complex business environment. Focusing on the business as a part rather than a whole body leads to the failure of the organization as a dynamic process.( infed.org/index.htm) The five disciplines can be approached at one of three levels: Practices: what you do. Principles: guiding ideas and insights. Essences: the state of being those with high levels of mastery in the discipline (Senge 1990: 373). Each discipline provides a vital dimension. Each is necessary to the others if organizations are to ââ¬Ëlearnââ¬â¢.( infed.org/index.htm) 2) à Personal Mastery- à Personal mastery is the discipline of continually clarifying and deepening our personal vision, of focusing our energies, of developing patience, and of seeing reality objectivelyââ¬â¢ (ibid.: 7). It goes beyondà competenceà and skills, although it involves them. It goes beyond spiritual opening, although it involves spiritual growth (ibid.: 141). Mastery is seen as a special kind of proficiency. It is not about dominance, but rather aboutà calling. Vision is vocation rather than simply just a good idea. People with high level of personal mastery lives in high level of continual learning. Personal mastery is not something which an individual possess but it a process. People possessing personal mastery have high level of self confidence.( infed.org/index.htm) 3) à Mental Models- Starts with turning the mirror inward; learning to unearth our internal pictures of the world, to bring them to the surface and hold them rigorously to scrutiny. It also includes the ability to carry on ââ¬Ëmeaningfulââ¬â¢ conversations that balance inquiry and advocacy, where people expose their own thinking effectively and make that thinking open to the influence of others. (Senge 1990: 9). It is necessary for people to learn new skills and develop new orientations in an organization in order to develop the capacity to work with mental models. In other words it means fostering openness (Senge 1990: 273-286).( infed.org/index.htm) 4) à Building Shared Vision à It is one of the ideas about leadership that has inspired organizations for thousands of years. Such visions enables experimentation and innovation. Clear vision makes the people learn on their interest rather than telling them what to do. Translation of this visions into shared vision will lead to the success in achieving the long-term and short-goals of an organization.( infed.org/index.htm) 5) à Team Learning-Personal mastery and shared vision are not enough as it needs the people to work together in team. It will not only lead to good results for an organization but also help in rapid learning amongst the people. à It also involves learning how to recognize the patterns of interaction in teams that undermine learning. (Senge 1990: 10). Joining of dialogues with system thinking possibly creates a language which suits more for dealing with complexity, focuses on deep-seated of structural issues and forces rather than being diverted by questions of personality and leadership style. ( infed.org/index.htm). There is a myth in the mind of the employers that the educational qualification is enough to make an employee efficient, effective and competence. Education provides the basic cognitive skills to prepare an employee for work. In order to survive in this competitive business world, every organization needs to have their employees to be of highly polished skills and competence powers. This is where HRM steps in. Skills, knowledge and competency can only be developed through HRM. It makes the people to be more competitive as they were used to be. Training is costly as it requires arrangement of resources, staffs and many other perspectives which requires investment. For instance, a training and development programme takes place in XYZ Company. As it requires investment, there can be resistance from the different departments. This happens because the departments other than HRM are of the thought that if the training is given to achieve certain goals of the organization and the employees fail to achieve those goals, it would result in the loss of the business as the output is not equal or more than the output. On the other hand, if the employees achieve these goals it leads to the long-term benefits for the business. Improvement in the employee competency leads to increase in the corporate competitiveness which results in increasing profitability. In the view to increase the skills, efficiency, effectiveness and competence of the people in the organisation, it is necessary that the learning and development must be initiated by the HRM department. These sessions must be carefully planned and made sure that the resources are used at their best. The focus should not only be on the competence but also on the values and attitude. Learning is an initiative of change management which aims at developing employees potentials in order to add more value to the organization and the community they belonging to. (hrmbusiness.com/2008/08/hrm-basics-hrms-role-on-training-and.html). On a global perspective for enhancing the culture of learning and development of an organisation, the HRM goes through certain critical challenging issues which play a vital role for the growth of an organisation. One of the challenges that an organisation has to deal with is the employee turnover ratio, which means to retain the resources which for certain reasons wants to leave an organisation. The HRM department finds this part being critical for small medium organisations where they have low budgets to train their current resources or hiring new resources. If an employee leaves an organisation at a certain period of time which can put that project into crucial circumstances for its survival, itââ¬â¢s very important either to document down everything so other resources can pick the right path of that project or to retain them so that the project survives in its best. Hiring new resources and training them again on that project includes cost and time which doesnââ¬â¢t goes in favor of organisation where critical deadlines have to be met. This can also leave a negative impact of job insecurity on employees that the running organisation might be going through financial problems or they donââ¬â¢t find any growth in their career. So another challenge for HRM is to secure their jobs by providing them chances to grow in their career. Once an employee polishes its skill more gives him more confidence to produce better output for that organisation. Itââ¬â¢s a contribution towards promoting a learning culture in the organisation too. So HRM ensures that all the necessary ingredients should be provided for an employee to learn more by their own interest. Some organisations have a strategy of providing them a library or an environment where the interest automatically develops. It could be in sense of competition or rewards or benefits whatever motivates them to produce their better output by learning more. So training and development under low budgets can al so be a challenging task for HRM as noticed that in small medium organisations usually a resource main ambition is to learn more as much as they can. And those trainings can be conducted internally as well externally. But how much budget that organisation can afford for it? Are they willing to invest on their employees in form of trainings? Is that a guarantee by training them, they wonââ¬â¢t quit? These perspectives are being thought from an organisations end too. But Southwest airline has proved that putting trust in your employee and give them a free hand to think and logically come up with solutions to problems helped them a lot in building their culture where learning was mainly focused. Other issues like appraisal processes or motivational processes again have a vital role in the growth of an organisation which is directly linked to a psychological satisfaction. Maintaining and sustaining an equitable evaluation of performance system is a key to employeeââ¬â¢s satisfacti on for their job and its performance. The more they are satisfied towards their jobs, the more they will input their efforts. (http://humanresources.about.com/od/retention/Retention_of_Employees_Tips_and_Tools_for_Employee_Retention.htm,scribd.com/doc/10041934/HRM-Training-Development) Considering the brief introduction of Southwest Airlines, the HRM Models that has been implemented are strategic as well as descriptive. As we all are well known about the incident of 9/11, it shook the root of airline industry. This gave a space in the industry to bring about the necessary change required in order to survive in that period. As other airline companies were struggling to survive in the market, Southwest Airlines was the only airline to hold its boot in the industry. From the strategic point of view, it can be seen that the leadership style was tremendous. The mission of Southwest Airlines, low cost, low fare, no frills, and its dedication to the highest quality of customer service delivered with a sense of warmth, friendliness, individual pride and company spirit. The airline industry tried to cut down their expenses and marched towards the direction of continuous improvement and innovation. This brought the learning organisation into existence and soon it become very popular amongst the different industries including the airline industry. Learning organisation refers to continuous improvement and maximum utilisation of resources and this was one of the reasons that brought this concept into action. The employees in the organisation were treated in the same manner as the Southwest Airlines used to treat their customers. Creativity and innovation were given more importance than the other factors in the organization. There were lot of talks going around amongst the organisations regarding the team spirit but Southwest Airlines are the one that succeeded in achieving it. This is due to the thought amongst the strategic level that the employees come first than the customers as they are of great importance to the organisation. This shows the form of leadership style used at the strategic level which built trust, love and affection amongst its employees. As the change was took place in the organisation, the Southwest Airlines hold on with their employ ees rather than cutting jobs and saving cost. Infect the employees were trained in order to deliver the best customer service. The top level shared all the mission and vision of the organisation. Continuous improvement can be bought only if the information is clearly shared with the employees who help them to take punitive steps to achieve the goals of the organisation. A feeling of being a part of a big family made the employees to work for the most benefit of the organisation. The goal of profit maximization was achieved by keeping low cost and high quality of customer service. Competitors have learned from Southwest and its unique management strategies and they are using these tactics as well as unique ones to win over customer. It can also be said that the HRM model used by Southwest Airlines was SOFT HRM as it didnââ¬â¢t treat its employees like a resource but as human as well whereas HARD HRM treats human just like a resource. As we can clearly see the situation of Southwest Airlines, on the other hand the current situation of the British Airways stands nowhere as compared to Southwest Airlines. In spite of the airline industry being badly hit in that time, the Southwest Airlines anyhow managed to be the best airlines and to make maximum profit. On the other hand, British Airways struggles daily with staff problems, strikes, customer complaints, inadequate in achieving companyââ¬â¢s goal. During the ash cloud period, British Airways used to bear a loss of à £20 million pounds on daily basis. Moreover, the ticket charges of British Airways are quite high as compared to Southwest Airlines. Employeeââ¬â¢s conflict is one of the major reasons that due to which team spirit is neglected. The flow of organisationââ¬â¢s information and data is restricted as the strategic level feels that the companyââ¬â¢s data should be confidential. This leads to a feeling of not being loyal and dishonest amongst the employees. Southwest did not employ the ââ¬Å"hub-and-spokeâ⬠approach used by other major airlines, such as United, American, and Delta. Instead, its approach was short haul (average flight time was 55 minutes) and point-to-point (e.g., Dallas to Houston, Los Angeles to Phoenix). Southwest had no assigned seats, paid its crews by trip, and used less congested airports (e.g., Baltimore instead of Washingtonââ¬â¢s Dulles or Reagan; Manchester, N.H., instead of Boston, Mass.). Do You Make Any Money Writing
Do You Make Any Money Writing If you havent been asked this question, you will. Family, especially, are noted for asking if the time you invest in your work is worth the money derived from it. Its as if you are choosing to make what you do. Its as if you are too stupid to walk away when its the last thing you want to do. So, lets empower you a bit. The next time someone brings this question up, turn it around. Ask what they make in their job. Then ask if its the best they can make. Ask if they feel shortchanged. And when they say they deserve to make more, ask them why they arent hunting for another job. Then ask if the time they spend on their job is worth the money derived from it. Why are they working that job if they arent being compensated properly? Chances are, theyll tell you they have no choice. They need the work. They need the money. They hope to make more. They havent been able to find other work. Theyd leave if they could. Whatever the excuse, they will say the last thing they can do is quit. So, chances are theyll also add that they sure wish they could leave because they hate their situation, hate the boss, hate the grind. How do I know? Because 80 percent of people in the world hate their job. Thats when you say that you dont make what youd like to make either, but heaven forbid you have to quit because you love it so much. As a matter of fact, you are thrilled to be doing something you intensely enjoy, and it helps compensate for not making more money. On those days you feel you havent been paid enough, you still smile because thank goodness you are working in a profession you adore. That alone makes it all worthwhile. And then you add . . . you hope you never have to retire from it. Thatll shut them up.

Critically assess the positioning strategies of 4 countries as tourist Essay
Critically assess the positioning strategies of 4 countries as tourist destination - Essay Example All these countries are assessed separately in the report. Turkey is assessed first. It is definitely a tourist destination, one that has a rich culture and one of the most fascinating histories. The heritage is amazing which is displayed in the great number of Turkish museums. The people are hospitable and family-oriented. This is all attractive for tourists and positions it as a striking destination for tourists interested in culture. The Bahamas is assessed next. It is mainly a spot for vacationers who enjoy the beach, sand and sun. There is little attraction for other kinds of tourists though. There are no events and activities are limited to water sports. Dubai is assessed next and it is definitely positioned as a luxury tourist destination. This is followed by Thailand which is very popular for its culture, cuisine and eco-tourism. The geographical structure is fascinating and attractive for many. The population includes British citizens, male and female in a high-income community. A sample of 10 British was drawn from the population. This was not a random sample. Instead sampling was done using the systematic sampling method. This is also called interval sampling and it means that there is a fixed gap between selecting people. This is a very effective technique for sampling for surveys (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2004). In our sample, 6 of the respondents were male while the rest were female respondents. They all belonged to the higher income group. Their names have not been disclosed but other demographic characteristics are illustrated below in the table: In our survey, the first person (from the first house) was selected randomly after which every tenth house was selected, out of which one person was selected for the sample. The following criteria were followed: The main search tool was based on interviews. Questions in the interview were open-ended. They had no

Becel Margarine Case Analysis Essay -- Business Marketing Case Becel E
Becel Margarine Case Analysis I. Executive Summary Becel needs to adjust their promotional efforts to address both a heart healthy and great tasting product, while expanding their target market to the twenty-five and above demographic. Becelââ¬â¢s current customers are largely empty nester households where the customers tend to be affluent with high incomes and over sixty-five years of age. By adjusting their promotional efforts to address both a heart healthy and great tasting product, Becel will be able to meet the needs of the twenty-five and above demographic. Becelââ¬â¢s strengths include a strong reputation as a leader in heart health and nutrition education, being the premium priced margarine, and the highest consumer loyalty of any margarine category. Among some of the weaknesses of Becel are lack of a strong presence in Western Canada, not positioned as great tasting, and a low advertising awareness. Opportunities include the consideration of health and taste when selecting margarine, selling in bulk quantity to large family households, and increased awareness of health issues. Canola Harvest positioning their margarine as the healthiest and best tasting and offering it at a lower price, competitors gaining market share at a faster rate than Becel, and regulations on the margarine category are among the threats facing Becel. Three alternatives were developed to help solve Becelââ¬â¢s problem. ââ¬Å"Run Canada, Runâ⬠portrays Becel as the margarine that is geared towards a heart-healthy lifestyle. ââ¬Å"Body by Becelâ⬠conveys how Becel can help you lose weight and stay healthy. ââ¬Å"Now Weââ¬â¢re Cooking with Becelâ⬠demonstrates how Becel can be used in a variety of healthy, day-to-day recipes. Indian Influence Essay
This paper aims to discuss the question of to what extent the Indians have influenced place names and the vocabulary of American English. Considering that Native American Indians are the oldest people in America, it is natural that their language and culture have had some influence upon the development of American English, as well as upon place names in America. It is believed that the first Native Americans arrived during the last ice-age, approximately 20,000 ââ¬â 30,000 years ago . There are a great number of American place names, including those of large cities and states, which have been named after Indian words ââ¬â itââ¬â¢s estimated that at least half of the states get their names from Indian words. These include Arizona, which comes from the Indian word Arizonac, which means little spring or young spring. Arizona has a history rich in legends of pertaining to the West. Here Indian chiefs Geronimo and Cochise led the fight against the frontiersmen. Tombstone, Arizona, was the site of the most famous shootout in the West, this being the gunfight at the O. K. Corral. Names of other states influenced by the Indians include Arkansas which comes from the Quapaw Indians, Iowa, which probably comes from an Indian name meaning ââ¬Å"this is the placeâ⬠or ââ¬Å"the Beautiful Landâ⬠, Oklahoma, which is from two Choctaw Indian words meaning red people, and Wyoming, which is from the Delaware Indian word meaning ââ¬Å"mountains and valleys alternatingâ⬠, just like the Wyoming Valley in Pennsylvania. It can therefore be seen that the influence of American Indians has had quite a large impact on the naming of places in America. The vocabulary of American English has also been quite profoundly impacted. In a similar way that thousands of place names have been impacted by Indian words, so have many US English words have their roots in American Indian. These help in making the language the rich, cultural affair that it is today, and include not only words such as tomahawk from the Virginia Algonquian ââ¬Å"tamahaacâ⬠, totem from the Ojibwa ââ¬Å"nindoodem,â⬠my totem, wampum from the Massachusetts ââ¬Å"wampumpeagâ⬠, wigwam from the Eastern Abenaki ââ¬Å"wikââ¬â¢womâ⬠but also moccasin from the Virginia Algonquian moose from the Eastern Abenaki ââ¬Å"mosâ⬠, papoose from the Narragansett ââ¬Å"papoos,â⬠child, pecan from the Illinois ââ¬Å"pakaniâ⬠which are used with relevance to everyday American things. The word ââ¬Å"Podunk,â⬠meant to describe an insignificant town out in the middle of nowhere, comes from a Natick Indian word meaning ââ¬Å"swampy place. â⬠Many of these words borrowed from American Indians are nouns from the Algonquian languages that used to be common and widely spoken along the Atlantic coast. English colonists, who came across iar plants and animals which were strange to them at the time named them based on Indian terms. Naturally enough pronunciation changed and words were shortened in order to make them easier for the English tongue. But the fact remains that their roots are in American Indian words. Conclusion This paper shows that the Indians have influenced both place names and the vocabulary of American English to a large degree. Hyundais Ad Analysis - 1666 Words
The modern human beingââ¬â¢s life is continuously flooded by advertising. Ads surround society in everything a person does, from watching television to listening to the radio, or even walking down the street. These advertisements range from celebrity promotions to home goods products and everything in between, all for the sake of convincing people to pick their product over another competitors product. When a deeper look is taken at these advertisements, one will find that they are not merely just selling a car or a box of cereal. In actuality, companies along with their product, are trying subtlely to sell cultural stereotypes, beliefs and trends. Within their advertisement, Hyundai effectively uses graphics, language and argument toâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Hyundai not only focuses on where their ad will be placed but they also focus on who their audience will be. Sports Illustrated reaches the particular audience of male sports fans, of which most can be placed into the upp er and middle social classes. For the purpose of this advertisement, Hyundai specifically targeted football fans, especially NFL fans. Since the majority of the subscribers are in the upper and middle class, due to their ability to afford the expense of the magazine, they are able to spend their money on more luxurious items such as a car. Therefore, a car advertisement is reasonable considering the audience s demographics. Considering the readers interests and social class Hyundaiââ¬â¢s placement of their advertisement in Sports Illustrated has rational because of its placement and its ability to connect with a certain audience. To sell a product companies will use certain colors to evoke particular emotions from their targeted audience. Hyundaiââ¬â¢s uses different shades of grey and black throughout their advertisement, including a black model of the car and a grey and black sky. When used in advertising, black normally represents sophistication or luxury, while grey is typically a neutral or calm color (Ciotti). Therefore, the color black will make readers more likely to interpret the 2012 Hyundai Genesis R-Spec as a luxurious and sophisticated car. The Search for Redemption in the Kite Runner and Secret...
The search for Redemption In a lifetime one will face many battles and deal with guilt as said ââ¬Å"nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a manââ¬â¢s character give him powerâ⬠(Abraham Lincoln). Guilt from deceiving others or other immoral acts will result in one constantly searching for redemption. Khalid Hosseniââ¬â¢s novel Kite Runner and Shilpi Somaya Gowdaââ¬â¢s novel Secret Daughter revolve around betrayal and redemption. Firstly, the search for personal redemption will strongly influence ones character. Secondly, the bond a child forms with their parents will affect their actions. Lastly, the persistence of the past will cloud oneââ¬â¢s ability to redeem their life. Next, Amir and Jasu, Kavitaââ¬â¢s husband in the novel secret daughter did not just ruin their lives; they destroyed the lives of others around them. Amir making the choice to leave Hassan in the alley set the lives of both characters in the novel ââ¬Å"I could step into that alley, stand up for Hassan the way he stood up for me all those times in the past and accept whatever would happen to me or I could run. In the end, I ranâ⬠(Hosseni, 84). Amirââ¬â¢s choice to run later impacted his fatherââ¬â¢s life as he lost the chance to watch his son Hassan grow up. Just as Jasu, forced Kavita to give up her 2 daughters ââ¬Å"we cannot keep her! â⬠¦she will become a burden to us, a drain on our family!â⬠(Gowda 106-107). The three strategies in terms of marketing are operational excellence, customer intimacy, and product leaderships. However, for the sales unit of the organization Apple Inc. focuses mainly on customer intimacy. As it is the customer that helps an organization to rise to its peak level by enhancing the profitability in various aspects (Baker, 2014). The arrangements which are offered once in a while, focuses on the least expensive alternative for the client, nor the most creative, yet are viewed as satisfactory (Boone Kurtz, 2013). Client intimacy concentrates on the requirements of the individual client. Customer intimacy strategically can just land through adjusting the item improvement, producing, regulatory capacities and official concentration around the requirements of the individual client. Apple Inc. significantly has a tendency to have a decentralized association which enables them to learn and change rapidly as per clients' needs (Christopher, Payne Ballantyne, 2013). This organization frequently keeps a whole environment of accomplices for the genuine creation and conveyance of items and administrations to their clients. The pricing strategy of the products and services offered by the organization enhances eventually due to the engagement of the sales unit. Hence, customer intimacy is desired in an organization to achieve the desired goal as well as to stay ahead in the market. The sales unit provides an effective system support that helps to measure the cost of delivering product and services to the customer while maintaining the loyalty of the customer. The corporate culture is generally flexible and is completely customer centric. The sales unit has the main advantage of attaining customer information which is crucial in terms of running the business of Apple Inc. more flexible. The managers of the sales unit are effective and have significant boundaries and also assist their subordinates to complete the task at ease which is desired in terms of achieving customer intimacy towards the organization. The team of the sales unit is congenial controlled as well as friendly by sharing information from the higher level to lower for enhancing effective strategy (Czinkota Ronkainen, 2013). The teamwork, trust, and power of the unit are efficient for trusting the members for accomplishing their job role. The sales unit strategies change with the changing needs of the customers; however, in the organization Apple Inc. the underlying strategy is stable which is towards profitability. Hence, the strategy chosen for the organization Apple Inc. is assisting the business growth while satisfying the needs of the customer. Thr ough customer intimacy strategy, the organization will attain ample profit pay off and is feasible with its huge resource platforms; however, with advantages come investment costs as well as a potential risk which the organization critically resolves and moves further (De Mooij, 2013). The sales unit team considerably attains competitive strategic positions in terms of customer intimacy which are both dominant and strong. Through the strategy of customer intimacy, the organizations sales unit controls the strategies and behavior of other competitors which are a significant strength in the target market (Yim, Tse Chan, 2008). The organization Apple Inc. always considers short-term strategies rather than a long term as the strategies mostly depend upon the changing needs of customers. The sales unit always tries to enhance its current position as it has significant strengths and potentials to continue the business while satisfying the needs of customers. The pricing strategy, as well as the products and services produced from the unit, are completely based on the needs of the customers while comparing the pricing strategy of the competitors (McKenzie-Mohr, 2013). This, in turn, helps to attain a significant position in the target market as well as it is profitable f or the organization in every aspect. Hence, the implication of the sales unit of the organization in terms of customer intimacy strategies is significant and will help to grow business widely. Portfolio analysis- Boston Consulting Groups matrix The higher management of the organization Apple Inc. is not dependable for generating strategic alternatives in terms of different products and services in the market for customer intimacy. It completely depends on the business units of the organization. The sales unit of the organization Apple Inc. is significant for generating strategies based on the need of the customers (Zott Amit, 2013). The critical assumption of the BCG or Boston Consulting Group matrix is it helps to analyze the increased market share of the products and services that have been introduced in the market for higher cash generation (Simons, 2013). However, it is evident for the organization Apple Inc. that growing markets do need additional investment. By attaining slower business growth, the organization can gather the required additional investment. The sales unit in the organization is completely independent of other business unit and implements strategies based on the needs of the target market. The matrix quadrants are named as stars, question marks, cash cows, and dogs. Each of the quadrants signifies each strategy of an organization. The high growth market leaders are typically known as stars. Cash cows are significantly characterized by high market share and low growth. Dogs are those who introduce products in low positioned market share as well as poor competitive position (Xue, Ray Sambamurthy, 2013). The sales unit in the organization Apple Inc. can be characterized in the quadrant of question marks. The products and services offered by the unit are significantly customer-centric which enhances the growth market of the product; however, this, in turn, leaves to low share and requires more cash for investment and produces more products. This unit starts at a slow pace but eventually evolves in the market as a star product which flourishes the market as well as gain competitive advantage. The investment characteristics are quite heavy initially ad requires high developmental and research costs to learn about the target market and to gain customer intimacy. The earning characteristics significantly fluctuate based on the need of the target market; sometimes its high and sometimes its low (Turnbull Valla, 2013). The sales unit takes a huge chance to dominate the target market and if everything goes well after introducing the products and service in the target market, it gains huge market share. However, if it does not go as it is planned then a new strategy is redefined which will benefit the organization. The organization does support the sales business unit as this is the only segment which has a direct contact with its customers. Hence, if the market share lowers down due to external factors then the organization develops a strategically plan with sales unit to develop a new strategy which will be profitable for the company in terms of competitive advantage (Shih et al. 2013). The sales unit critically develops the strategy based on the market size and market position which benefits the organization Apple Inc. in several ways. Strategic development tools and its benefits Cross-impact analysis This technique helps to analyze the impacts of the products and services that have been introduced in the market by the sales unit team. This analysis is typically done before the implementation of the new product; however, it can be done later too. This analysis helps to learn the potential impact of introducing a product or service in the target market. It determines if the new strategy will create a positive or negative impact on the customers in future events (Biggemann et al. 2013). The taxation laws as well as legislative laws also fall under this and play an integral part in the strategy making practice for the organization Apple Inc. Cross-impact analysis is done by surveying the needs and demands of the target customers which will significantly assist the sales to the team to develop integrated strategies that will benefit both the organization and customers and also will help to attain a competitive advantage in the target market. This technique will also assist in learning the overall competitive strategic position in the target market. The developed strategies will be based on the needs of the customers which will be significantly coordinated both externally and internally. The social and demographic event also helps in learning the how the strategy will create a positive impact in the market. Trend-impact analysis This technique critically helps the strategic business unit of the organization Apple Inc. to demonstrate future trends by gathering the past buying behaviors of the customers and likewise focusing on reinventing new products and services based on enhancing customer intimacy (Khalili Shavarini et al. 2013). This analysis benefits the sales to learn the buying behavior of the customers which creates a huge impact on the profitability of the organization. This method is unique from other tools as this technique lies with the combination of the view of customers as well as a statistical method for learning either there will be a potential growth due to the implemented strategy or it will be harmful for the organization and makes it easy for the sales business unit to decide. This tool critically assists the unit to develop a significant strategy that will be profitable for the business and will attain huge market share (Kownatzki et al. 2013). The trend of customers keeps on changing wi th the changing environment and advanced technological growth due to which it becomes tough for organization Apple Inc. to meet the demands of customers while making a profitable business. However, this technique simplifies the problem in a huge way to analyze the needs and demands of customers which make the organization stay ahead in the competitive market. Planning and implementation For strategic marketing, the organization Apple Inc. needs to have strategic planning which must be done effectively by the sales unit of the organization. Without effective marketing, the organization can never achieve the success it desires and flourishes in the market. The members of the sales business unit of the organization must provide quality product and services to fulfill the needs and demands of the customers which will increase customer intimacy (Kumar et al. 2013). For developing an effective plan, the members of the strategic business unit must focus on its customers about their buying behavior, surveying and other efficient measures which will help to form an effective strategy. An effective performance standard has to be attained by the unit for better and effective output. The customers who are the existing part of the organization must be given more priority for creating more awareness among them in terms of the new strategic marketing. Customer intimacy significant ly influences the strategic marketing strategy for the organization Apple Inc. in terms of planning and implementation. The planning must be done before starting the project and the implementation process must be done slowly for making feasible to both customers as well as the members of the sales unit (Law, Ennew Mitussis, 2013). The higher management of the company must initiate a rewarding system for enhancing and motivating the employees of the sales unit for forming innovative and creative strategies that will benefit the organization. The members of the sales unit must be customer centric and should change their strategies based on the views of the potential target customers. The tools that are used for learning the purchasing behavior as well as to learn the trend of future generation from the past record must be analyzed efficiently for the effective result (Leonidou et al. 2013). The previous strategies that have been used by the sales unit for increasing the customer intimacy strategy must be revised again for better forming the new strategies. Customers are one of the important segments of every organization as it is the segment that attains profitability for the organization. Hence, the organization Apple Inc. must focus on its customers for forming effective strategies with the changing demands and needs. Currently, the needs and demands of customers are changing with technological as well as in the competitive ground. For attaining both the factors critically, the organization must focus on understanding the trends of the customers for better output (Nica, 2013). After complete planning and comprehending the trend of the customers, the organizatio n must implement the process strategically to flourish the market as well as to stay ahead in the competitive market. The pricing strategy must be feasible so that each segment of customers based on demographic segmentation can afford the products and services of the organization. Hence, customers intimacy influence the marketing strategically in terms of planning and implementing. Conclusion In this assignment, the learner has elaborately described the strategical marketing of the organization Apple Inc. based on customer intimacy by the sales business unit. Customer intimacy is a core marketing strategy that helps to attain profitability for the organization as well as assist the organization to attain competitive advantage. The tools used for marketing by the sales business unit must be used strategically.
